Key Responsibilities:

  • Be a vital part of our engineering team, developing test protocols and using mechanical principles like thermodynamics, hydraulics, and heat transfer.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to support prototype tests, solving complex engineering challenges.
  • Document your designs, ensuring quality control through the Engineering Change Order (ECO) process.
  • Participate in the Material Review Board (MRB) to address non-conforming parts during manufacturing.
  • Provide hands-on solutions for product performance and fielded unit support, make a real difference in product lifecycle and cost reduction.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and innovate with creative engineering approaches.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent related experience.
  • Experience with particle accelerators or physics-intensive products is highly desirable.
  • Experience with semiconductor processing equipment, medical imaging equipment, or other physics-intensive products is a plus.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks) and familiarity with Product Data Management (PDM) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software.
  • A strong foundation in engineering calculations (strength of materials) and analysis (stress, and deflection), plus creativity in tackling engineering challenges. .
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and Word for documentation and analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills and a readiness to collaborate across teams.
  • Willingness to travel domestically as needed (up to 20%) to support component testing, upgrades, and design implementation.
