Director of Supply Chain & Manufacturing

  • Location available: Lansing, Michigan

Overview: Ionetix is a growing company, with revolutionary cyclotron technology. We enable healthcare providers to provide highly accurate cardiac PET imaging, offering the highest quality of diagnostic capability of nuclear imaging services to implement and improve cardiac PET programs.

Ionetix is seeking a Director of Supply Chain & Manufacturing to work in Lansing, MI.  This position will oversee manufacturing, supply chain and purchasing for the cyclotron operations, including parts and product flow between suppliers and site locations, ensuring cost-effectiveness.

The Director of Supply Chain & Manufacturing has responsibility for but not limited to:

  • Develop department objectives and key performance indicators for all areas of responsibility.
  • Forge collaborative relationships to lead change that drives continuous improvement.
  • Reduce costs and improve efficiencies.
  • Determine the most cost-effective and efficient means of transporting products and supplies.
  • Build and develop relationships, negotiate contracts, and formulate policies with suppliers.
  • Responsible for purchasing and material planning within the organization including procurement and inventory control.
  • Use best practices to ensure inventory and materials demand is met.
  • Identify, qualify, and monitor suppliers to ensure quality and delivery requirements are met.
  • Optimize purchase planning in conjunction with developing cost reduction strategies.
  • Utilize purchasing system and other software to create efficiencies and extract data to monitor measurables.
  • Maintain and improve utilization and reporting of the purchasing and inventory systems.
  • Work with engineering and mitigation activities in conjunction with engineering and manufacturing.

Ideal Candidates will possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, manufacturing, purchasing or related field of study
  • 8 or more years of manufacturing, supply chain, and purchasing experience
  • 5 or more years of experience in a progressive procurement/sourcing environment or related experience
  • Experience in a lead manufacturing role within an organization with history of success
  • Ability to take initiative and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Prior experience reducing cost and improving efficiency
  • Knowledge of inbound inspection, packing, and quality systems for supply chain
  • International shipping and logistics experience with import/export, preferred
  • Knowledge of ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulation) and EAR (Export Administration Regulation) is helpful
  • Knowledge of ERP systems
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, suppliers, shippers, and customers.
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications: Internet, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Quality Assurance Manager

  • Location available: Lansing, Michigan

Ionetix is seeking a full-time Quality Assurance Manager to work in a manufacturing plant in Lansing, MI.  This position ensures company products and services meet quality standards with the opportunity to develop quality control processes.

The Quality Assurance Manager has responsibility for the following, but not limited to:

  • Build and develop the Quality Assurance Program and System.
  • Effectively work on cross functional teams to establish appropriate processes pertaining to quality.
  • Serve as a technical leader and build trust with customers and suppliers.
  • Lead a Continuous Improvement Team, CAPA team, and work with customers and suppliers to resolve product quality issues.
  • Perform on-site and remote training to assist operations in achieving compliance with ISO guidelines and other regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain strong knowledge of cyclotron operations.
  • Work closely with manufacturing, engineering, operations, and other functional areas to evaluate actual or potential product failures.
  • Investigate, determine root cause, and resolve product failures.
  • Contribute to product quality, safety, and customer satisfaction related decisions.
  • Lead and support internal and external supplier audits and inspections.
  • Develop improvement plans and tracks customer quality.
  • Monitor and advise on product quality performance and publish data and reports regarding the effectiveness of the quality management system in achieving the product performance goals.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of product test plans including verification and validation of products and processes.
  • Serve as a resource in validations, applicable to processes and product.
  • Perform standard quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including supplier quality and company quality records.
  • Work with manufacturing and engineering to address supplier quality; making improvements to operations to enhance efficiency and quality.

Ideal Candidates will possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a science or technical related field of study
  • Five or more years’ experience in quality, preferably in the medical device industry
  • Two or more years in a lead quality or management role
  • Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), preferred
  • Ability to develop and maintain a quality system
  • Knowledge of medical device quality system (ISO9001 or ISO 13485), preferred
  • Knowledge of cyclotron operations, preferred
  • Statistical analysis skills
  • Strong computer skills in electronic quality systems (i.e.Onmify, SimpCloud, etc.)
  • Experience participating in internal and external audits (e.g., FDA, Notified Body, Supplier)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Experience with corrective and preventative action (CAPA), complaint investigation, field action processes and risk management
  • Excellent skills in both verbal and written communications
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time

QC/PRODUCTION CYCLOTRON TECHNICIAN

  • Location available: Jenkintown, Pennsylvania

Overview: Ionetix is a growing company, with revolutionary cyclotron technology. We enable healthcare providers to provide highly accurate cardiac PET imaging, offering the highest quality of diagnostic capability of nuclear imaging services to implement and improve cardiac PET programs.

Ionetix is seeking a full-time QC/Production Technician in Jenkintown, PA.  This is a unique opportunity to gain experience working in a radiopharmaceutical manufacturing facility.  This position will have the ability to train on the newest, advanced technology to operate the cyclotron and purification unit to manufacture and release PET products, fully integrating the tracer production at the point of imaging.

The QC/Production Technician has responsibility for the following, but not limited to:

  • Operate the cyclotron and related production equipment.
  • Monitor and interpret production via computerized system.
  • Assist and execute validation of analytical methods and quality controls.
  • Providing support to technology transfer efforts when receiving new technology or processes.
  • Perform quality control tests, prepare solutions, and perform general laboratory and facility maintenance.
  • Maintain raw-material records and internal inventory tracking.
  • Learn and practice FDA and radiation safety regulations.
  • Surveying and wiping the outgoing radiation products.
  • Execute and document Installation, Operational and Performance Qualifications (IOPQ) protocols, calibrations, and the documentation of procedures.

Ideal Candidates will possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a science field such as chemistry, microbiology, medical technology, or related technical experience in a similar setting, such as manufacturing pharmaceuticals, preferred.
  • Minimum of a Technical Degree with experience in a related technical, pharmaceutical or medical technology environment.
  • Prior knowledge of cyclotron operations is desired
  • Strong working knowledge of equipment installation process and application
